Change in Format Gives NOSORH Annual Meeting Attendees More Options, More Opportunities |
October 19, 2009 -- Sterling Heights, Michigan
A change in this year’s meeting format gives attendees of the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health’s (NOSORH) Annual Meeting more timely, relevant information than ever before – and offers even greater opportunities for them to “sound off and speak up.”
The 2009 NOSORH Annual Meeting – slated to take place November 18 and 19 at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown in Austin, Texas – will feature a Town Hall Meeting during which participants can raise and discuss issues they feel have the greatest implications on health care in rural America today. Participants also will have the opportunity to share their thoughts on rural health issues and on NOSORH during a “Meet the President” breakfast with current NOSORH President Lynette Dickson (North Dakota Office of Rural Health).
Plenary, concurrent and educational sessions on healthcare reform, economic stimulus funding and other policies affecting rural health, will provide even more opportunities for attendees to share information, explore partnership opportunities and strengthen the collective voice of SORHs and their partners. Those with a special interest in health information technology-related issues should also plan to attend the Preparing for Tomorrow Today Pre-conference HIT Summit on November 17.
Meeting agendas and registration information are available at the Annual Meeting Information section on the NOSORH Web site. Please note that the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown’s registration deadline is this Friday, October 23.
